Create Your First Survey

Create a survey inside your project to organize photos by date, inspection type, or site visit.

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Common ways to use surveys:

  • One survey per site visit ("March 15 Site Visit", "March 22 Follow-Up")
  • One survey per inspection area ("Roof", "Foundation", "Electrical")
  • One survey per phase ("Pre-Construction", "In Progress", "Final Walkthrough")

Each survey gets its own photo gallery, map view, and report. This keeps your documentation organized and your reports focused.

Step 1: Open your project

Navigate to the project you just created. You'll see the project dashboard with an empty survey list.

Step 2: Click "New Survey"

Click the New Survey button inside your project.

Step 3: Name your survey

Choose a name that describes what this group of photos represents. Be specific enough that you (and your client) can identify it later.

Good examples:

  • "Initial Site Visit. March 2026"
  • "Roof Inspection"
  • "Phase 2. Framing Complete"
  • "Unit 12A. Move-In Condition"

Step 4: Your survey is ready

That's it. Your survey is created and ready for photos. You'll see an empty gallery with an upload area.

Each survey supports up to 200 photos and includes:

  • A photo gallery with infinite scroll
  • An interactive map showing where each photo was taken
  • Report generation for that specific survey
