Checking coverage
Survey maps are your best tool for verifying you've documented an entire site. After uploading photos from a visit, open the survey map and look for gaps.
- Dense clusters of pins indicate well-documented areas
- Empty zones may indicate areas you missed or didn't photograph
- Pin distribution patterns show your path through the site
If you spot gaps, you know exactly where to focus on your next visit.
Comparing surveys over time
When a project has multiple surveys (for example, monthly inspections), compare their maps to track changes:
- See how photo coverage has shifted between visits
- Identify areas that were documented in one survey but not another
- Track the progression of work or conditions across the site
What you see
Survey maps show the same features as project-level maps:
- Photo pins with thumbnail previews
- Camera orientation arrows
- Marker clustering for dense photo groups
- Satellite and roadmap toggle
- Dark mode theme support
Tips
- Review the survey map before generating a report. It gives you confidence that your documentation is complete.
- Use survey maps during client meetings to walk through the site visually before presenting the detailed photo log.
