How shortcuts work
- Shortcuts are active whenever the markup editor is open.
- Press a single key to switch tools instantly. No modifier keys needed for tool switching.
- Undo and redo maintain a full history of your annotation session. You can undo all the way back to the original photo.
Tips
- Build muscle memory. The shortcuts follow a logical pattern. Each letter corresponds to the tool name (V for select, A for arrow, R for rectangle, and so on).
- Combine with mouse work. Press a key to switch tools, then draw immediately. This is faster than clicking the toolbar, especially when alternating between arrows and text labels.
- Undo freely. Ctrl+Z is your safety net. Draw quickly and undo mistakes rather than trying to place every annotation perfectly on the first attempt.
