Shared Projects
Understand how projects are shared across your Vortyk organization so every team member stays in sync.
Last updated: April 18, 2026
How it works
- Any Owner or Admin creates a project inside the organization workspace.
- Every member of the organization can see and access that project immediately.
- Members can upload photos, add captions and markups, and generate reports (based on their role).
- Changes sync in real time. When one person uploads photos, everyone else sees them right away.
What syncs across the team
- Projects and their settings
- Surveys within projects
- All photos, captions, and markups
- Generated reports
- Share links (visible to Owners and Admins)
Role restrictions on shared projects
Not every team member can do everything. Access depends on role:
- Owners and Admins can create, edit, and delete projects. They can also create share links and manage project settings.
- Members can view projects, upload photos, add markups, and generate reports. They cannot create new projects or modify project settings.
See Roles & Permissions for the full breakdown.
Personal vs. organization projects
If a user had a personal Pro account before joining an organization, their existing projects remain private. Only projects created within the organization workspace are shared.
